Not Another Bat-Mitzvah!
Storyboard and Photographs of the set
2023
I used a combination of drawing, mono-printing, and 3D model sets to create a tactile visual space in my stop-motion animated short film, ‘Not Another Bat-Mitzvah!’. The film explores the social pressures that an adolescent daughter is experiencing, to look and dress well for multiple parties, through the mother and daughter’s verbal exchange. Using the space of the home, which is featured as a character in and of itself, to tell the story. Their dialogue is heard from a hallway and a flight of stairs – their environment reacts to their words and moods; a clock ticks as time is running out; leaves fall off the trees or shoots emerge out of branches like hair growth; and text appears up and down the bannisters in response to the girl’s anguish and the mother’s frustration.
My animation was selected at the London Short Film Festival and Shorts on Tap festival. It won ‘Best Animation’ at Brtish International Film Festival and was given an Honourable Mention at Tatras International Film Festival.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin Book Trailer for Vintage Books
Storyboard and WIP images
2022
In collaboration with Sasha Alfille, Marta Casagrande, Honor Kingsnorth and Molly Weeden
We were tasked with designing a trailer for the book ‘Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow’ by Gabrielle Zevin Book Trailer for Vintage Books representing it’s themes, characters and locations.
Here we integrated the unique aesthetics of retro video games (prominently featuring in the book), particularly the isometric perspective that define many of the classic 90s computer games. The deliberate blocky design brought the polygonal world of 3D games into our illustrated animation. The book’s themes of isolation were highlighted through the contrast between the darkness of specific scenes and the pastel colours inspired by the book’s cover, and the video game references.
We won 2nd place in this competition.

Old Vic Theatre Christmas Tree Commission
2022
In collaboration with Leila Sultan.
We were commisioned to design a Christmas Tree for the Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo based off the book ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens
After successfully pitching to the Old Vic Theatre, we went through the process of design and iteration focusing on reducing the story to it’s most iconic images. We created baubles that illustrated, in silhouette form, characters and themes from ‘A Christmas Carol‘.
The tree was made from acrylic plastic, wire and card.

All Around Us
Fold Out Book and Monotype Prints
2022
All Around Us is a fold out book, made using Monotype prints. The book explores surrounding nature through both the drawings of the monotype prints and through the format of the book, being A1 in size meaning the reader has to walk around the book to read it, with the prints of nature being ‘All Around’ the reader.
